Daniela Crestani is the founder and artistic director of Alma Viva Dance Studio. Originally from Valencia, Venezuela, she began dancing at the age of five and spent over 15 years immersed in Ballet, Flamenco, Spanish Dance, Tap and Jazz building a strong foundation through a variety of schools and programs.
While training in classical and traditional forms, Daniela was also deeply shaped by the vibrant Latin social dance culture of Venezuela—where Salsa, merengue and bachata, and other styles are woven into the rhythm of everyday life. These dances weren’t just something she learned—they were lived, felt, and celebrated as part of her cultural identity.
She later refined her flamenco technique at the renowned Centro de Arte Flamenco y Danza Española Amor de Dios in Madrid, Spain. Over the years, she has performed in Venezuela, the United States, and Canada, but her greatest fulfillment comes from sharing her love of dance with others.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Daniela is known for her ability to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to express themselves through movement.
A deep believer in the healing power of dance, Daniela has experienced firsthand how movement can be a powerful tool to release stress, manage anxiety, and even overcome physical pain. Dance has been—and continues to be—her medicine, her way to reconnect with herself, process emotions, and find joy even in the most challenging times.
She brings this same passion and purpose to everything she does, inviting others not just to learn steps, but to experience dance as a source of strength, transformation, and connection.
