KidSport Canada Grant

At Alma Viva Dance Studio, we believe dance should be accessible to every child. Whether your child is trying dance for the very first time or continuing to grow a passion, financial challenges should never stand in the way. That’s why we’re proud to work with KidSport, an organization dedicated to helping families cover the cost of registration fees so kids can enjoy the many benefits of being part of a dance program.

KidSport Calgary & Area offers grants of up to $500 per eligible child, per calendar year (January 1 – December 31). These grants can be applied toward class registration fees at Alma Viva Dance Studio.

Please note: grants do not cover items such as dance attire, costumes, recital tickets, or photos.

 Children and youth may be eligible if they:

• Are 18 years old or younger
• Are enrolled in a registered dance program at Alma Viva Dance Studio
• Have parents/guardians who can provide one of the following for each adult in the household
  • Canada Child Benefit Notice
  • Most recent Notice of Assessment
  • AISH
  • Income Support (EI, Alberta Works)
  • Current Subsidized Housing Letter
  • Proof of City of Calgary Fair Entry or Airdrie Fee Assistance

• Register your child in one of our dance programs by emailing us at info@almavivadance.com
• Apply online through KidSport  and indicate your child is registered in a monthly program (unless applying for a one-time camp or workshop).
• Complete all parts of the application. Missing information may delay approval.
• Applications are usually processed within 30 days. If approved, KidSport sends the grant directly to Alma Viva Dance Studio.
• The funding will then be applied to your account and can be used toward your child’s original registration or upcoming monthly fees.
